Christmas Sickness

That’s not two words I like to see together, but sadly it’s how I spent my Christmas.

It started Christmas Eve morning. I woke up feeling funny but thought it was from all the sweets I’ve been eating. I shrugged it off and went to work.

The longer the day went, the worse I felt.

We actually had a work Christmas party in the afternoon, which I managed to stick around for but left shortly after it started. I grabbed my little man from Grandma’s and went home to lay on the couch.

I wish I could’ve cuddle with him, but I didn’t want him to catch whatever I had. I finally got him to nap just as Brandon got home. I took my temp and low and behold – fever. Wah wah.

We had plans to go to church and have dinner with my family that evening but it got pushed back to the following day (thankfully!) so I spent the rest of the night curled up in a ball on the couch.

Christmas morning I woke up fever-less but still didn’t feel right. I ended up eating a ton [and by ton I mean 1 biscuit LOL] of mom’s homemade B&G because I had almost gone 24 hours without eating, but then I think I made myself sick because I ate too much. It was a lose lose! I know it doesn’t sound like a lot but for not eating in so long, it was a ton. I also had a little scrambled eggs and a slice of this

The same thing happened on Christmas. The later it got in the day, the worse I felt.

I barely ate anything after breakfast. I had two carrots, about 1/2 cup of salad, and 2 slices of roast beef for lunch. For dinner I ate 2 bites of prime rib and about 1/8 cup each of corn casserole, broccoli and cheese casserole, and potato casserole.

I didn’t snap any pictures other than one of the four boys because I felt like garbage.

I kinda regret that. :/ But if there’s a positive in the situation, I’m thankful Gavin wasn’t old enough to know what’s going on. I can’t wait to see his reaction next year. Here’s to hoping we’re all healthy that day! ;)

ps doesn’t it look like Mason is hitting Bentley in the crotch and Bentley is in pain? Lol! Oh come on, you know you thought that too.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your friends and family!! xoxo
