THIRTY. EIGHT. WEEKS. today!!! Can I get a hallelujah?
Only 14 days left… providing he comes on his due date, which I know is unlikely.
$hit just got real, people.
Baby Toma is 38 weeks and is about the size of a pumpkin. (depending on what you read)
Another comparison pic. He is a growing fool these days. Just when I think my stomach honestly can’t get any bigger, I am horribly mistaken and quickly proven wrong when I wake up the next day. I’m so anxious to know how big (or small <– unlikely) he will be!
Here’s what Baby Toma has been up to this week:
- According to statistics, he’s anywhere between 6-8 lbs. Considering he was almost 5 lbs at my 32 week checkup, I think I have a little beast
on my handsin my belly.
- All of his organs are ready to support him in the outside world.
- His fingernails and toenails have reached the end of his fingers and toes.
And here’s what’s been happening with me this past week:
Workouts: Umm… walking counts, right? I haven’t had the energy nor the time to work out to be honest. Between getting things situated for his arrival, birthdays, holidays, showers, two jobs.. it’s getting hard to keep up anymore. But I’m not too concerned about it. He’s almost here, and every time I walk I get cramps in my lower abdomen so working out would probably be a joke.
Symptoms: Lower back pain that is on and off. Cramps in my lower abdomen. Swollen hands and feet. Peeing. Lots of peeing.
Food Aversions: Take a guess. Yup, still chicken.
Food Cravings: The weirdest actual craving I’ve had lately is cereal. I can’t tell you the last time I had a bowl. And I really should have timed myself in the cereal aisle. Who knew there were so many freaking kinds? At first I wanted chocolate, then I wanted fruity, then just plain Jane flakes… I probably sat there for a good 5 minutes (FYI that’s a long time in one aisle of the grocery store) and finally decided on two boxes.
Fiber One in chocolate and Smacks. One healthier choice and one not so healthy. #balance people I’ve been eating them as dessert the past few days.
Other random things: I bought a pomegranate yesterday. No clue the last time I had one of those and I’m not even sure how to eat it. Help me out, peeps. I just have the seeds, right?
And can someone explain to me what you’re supposed to do with this little fella?
I’ve never seen a pineapple so small. My friend, Melissa, told me on instagram they don’t have cores so you can just cut the outside off and eat it up. Neat, right?
If you follow me on instagram, you know I came down with a cold out of no where. Like I need that right now. It was so hard to swallow when I woke up yesterday morning so I made a protein smoothie bowl for breakfast.
It’s too simple not to share.
In the mix:
- 1/2 cup ice
- 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 cup frozen unsweetened cherries
- 1 scoop french vanilla protein powder (or flavor of your choice)
Throw all the ingredients in a blender, and mix until smooth.
Sleep: Pretty much non-existent, especially with my sickness right now.
Fun & Weird Stuff From the Week: Welllll we got Gavin’s room done finally! YEE HAW! And I am going to the doctor every week now so every time my fingers are crossed that she has news of some movement going on up in there. So far? We’ve got nothing. wah wah.
Baby Items Purchased: Still nothing. I want to get that bottle drying rack but haven’t had time to make it to the store. 14 days left… I better get on it!
Looking Forward To: I think this is obvious…
Have a great day!
